Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Test Operator to support the testing and validation of electronic components and devices in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining testing equipment to ensure products meet performance, quality, and reliability standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately follow testing procedures while working collaboratively with technical and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

Test Equipment Setup

  • Configure and set up electronic testing equipment and specialized testing fixtures.

Test Execution

  • Conduct various tests on electronic components and devices to evaluate functionality, performance, and adherence to technical specifications.

Troubleshooting

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during the testing process, including isolating defects and identifying potential root causes.

Data Recording

  • Accurately document test results and maintain detailed logs and reports to support quality control and analysis.

Compliance

  • Ensure all testing procedures align with applicable industry standards, regulations, and internal guidelines. Report any deviations or compliance concerns.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Test Technicians, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders to communicate testing results and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment under the supervision of Test Technicians to maintain optimal functionality. Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly.

Process Improvement

  • Assist in developing and improving testing procedures and methodologies to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Education

  • Technical training or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience

  • Previous experience as an Electronics Test Operator or in a similar technical role preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic components and testing methodologies is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Experience using electronic testing equipment and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation.

Attention to Detail

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and documenting test results.

Communication

  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear reporting of findings.

Problem-Solving

  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during the testing process.

Adaptability

  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate computer proficiency including:
    • Word processing
    • Spreadsheets
    • Databases
    • Testing software

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with limited privacy and potential exposure to noise generated by ongoing production activities.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

  • Use fine motor coordination and strong visual focus to differentiate colors and inspect components
  • Lift or move boxes or equipment up to 10 pounds
  • Sit for extended periods while conducting testing and documentation
