Role Summary

The COO of Gym & Facility Operations will lead and scale all operational aspects of KDC GLOWBALL, ensuring exceptional experiences across facility management, programming, staffing, customer service, safety, and financial performance. This executive will be responsible for operational excellence while upholding the brand’s high standards of safety, quality, and customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth, membership retention, and community engagement.

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility, including glow basketball courts, leagues, special events, and support areas (VIP lounge, common areas, etc.).

  • Partner with executive leadership to define long-term goals and facility expansion opportunities.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team, including supervisors and frontline staff.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer-centric service.

  • Create comprehensive training programs to reinforce safety protocols, operational procedures, and guest engagement.

Customer Experience & Program Management

  • Ensure all programs (open play, leagues, Skills Academy, events) run smoothly and align with brand expectations.

  • Analyze customer feedback and operational metrics to improve guest satisfaction and increase repeat visitation.

  • Champion service excellence across all touchpoints — from first contact to facility exit.

Facility & Safety Management

  • Implement facility management best practices to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.

  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, safety standards, and risk management protocols.

  • Lead incident response planning, emergency procedures, and staff safety training.

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

  • Manage vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and operational expenditures.

  • Track KPIs (revenue, utilization, retention, customer satisfaction) and report performance to senior leadership.

Marketing & Community Outreach

  • Collaborate with marketing to support member acquisition, retention campaigns, and program promotions.

  • Represent KDC GLOWBALL in community partnerships (schools, youth organizations, athletics groups).


Required Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in gym, sports facility, or athletic operations management.

  • Strong strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements.

  • Excellent communicator with interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

  • Passion for sports, fitness, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

  • Strong organizational and financial management capabilities.

  • Experience mentoring and leading diverse teams.

  • Familiarity with safety certifications and compliance standards.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in basketball or athletic facility operations.

  • Background in event or league management.

  • Experience with membership-based program optimization.

  • Knowledge of LED / immersive entertainment environments.
